Modeling Chemical Leaking and Dispersion in Oklahoma City

The project is a collaboration with the Oklahoma Climatological Survey and City of Oklahoma City to develop a simulation system for chemical dispersion in an urban environment. The system will aim emergency management in three ways;

  • To simulate dispersion due to chemical leaking from transport, traffic accidents, or terrorist acts, and generate scenarios for emergency response
  • To enable real-time emergency operation as an event unfolds
  • To identify potential high-risk zones for accidental toxic chemical release, urban settings in favor of potential agent entrapment.
